Welcome to my blog, my friends!!

After being abandoned for years, my blog is eventually set up. Thanks to the new templates, it is so much easier to arrange my blog the way I want to a much more acceptable degree. Well, now it may not be exactly the best, but I am sure it will definitely be better and I shall be more willing to spend more time and efforts here.

This is something new I am trying not, quite different from what have been doing all the time yet lots of fun.

Abstract, subtle or maybe moody - I am more than happy to try to make images of all those qualities.

I am now officially a Pro member of this exquisite photo website!!! It is unique and classy!!

Look forward to enhancing myself on photography there!!

Check it out and maybe you'll like it too!

Dusk in Hengchuen

This is one of my favorite captures that day!! It was quite dark then and I was basically retreating from that farther location because it is always very difficult to walk on the coral reefs when it gets dark even with a flashlight. Then and there I found this spot of coral reef lit up by the light from a spotlight behind the tree ashore. Perfect!!! Plus the curved lines of reefs and the blue sea water in between the reefs were superbly fascinating.

Well, life is very much like this, isn't it? The best result usually turns up at the most unlikely and least predicted place. Well, I personally have experienced this quite often over these years of  shooting landscapes. Some landscape designer used to say, "You can't plan nature; you count her."; I think as a photographer, I can say,"You can't plan nature; you capture her."

Dusk in Hengchuen

It looks an alien world in outer space or a land before time where dinosaurs roamed, right?

So far, I believe I am the first and only person who portrays Wanlitong in this particular style. As I said last time, it is a great challenge to capture its beauty, especially its coral reefs. I am so happy that I have conquered that obstacle and am ready for more productive trips there.

Sunset in Hengchuen

YES! This one was also taken with my new GND filters!!!

For this specific setting, the results turned out exactly as I had expected -- quite satisfying yet not perfect!!! The texture of those coral reefs looks much better better than before. This problem had bothered me the most for a long time and now it is finally solved. Hurray!!!!

Now I just need to come here often because this is the right season for the direction of the setting sun.

Sunset in Anping

looks out of balance, right? That is because the blue sampan on the left side of the central green boat is tilted somehow.

Still, this is one of the works I captured with my new GND!!! I am getting better hold of the new gear!!! Really looking forward to enhancing my works in terms of quality and value.
